With its fine and contemporary cuisine, Patara is my favourite Thai spot in London, since 2009 when I had my first experience in this great restaurant.

Patara restaurants group has many locations around the world, from Bangkok to Singapore, Vienna and others.

In London it opened six restaurants in the best areas of the city: Mayfair, Knightsbridge, South Kensington, Fitztrovia, Soho and Hampstead.

Recently I went to the Mayfair one, near Oxford Circus tube station, and the food was excellent and elegantly presented. I recommend you to try Pad Thai noodles and the green or red curries. My red curried sea bass (in the picture) was amazing.

The surroundings of the restaurant are refined with a touch of Thai culture, of course. The only pity is that the place is often too quite for my taste.
